Valentine’s Day

Hope all of you had a wonderful Valentine’s Day! We started off the day with some yummy strawberry pancakes (Ryan’s favorite).  Instead of going out to dinner, we decided to have a nice meal in, which was much more relaxing (not to mention cheaper…gotta save money for that wedding!).  We had lobster bisque with some crusty french bread for an appetizer, followed by steak, mashed potatoes, and creamed spinach, and for dessert, some delicious strawberry shortcake with homemade whipped cream!  It was delicious (albeit not exactly the healthiest meal) and a lot of fun to cook together. When we could finally move again, we played monopoly (Ryan kicked my butt) and just relaxed by the fire while sharing a bottle of wine.  It was a perfect Valentine’s Day date!

  1. Wow! That all looks very yummy indeed. We celebrated with Tibetan food, followed by a cocktail around the corner. Not too pricey either, although mostly because going out in Berlin is surprisingly cheap. 🙂
