Fabric Mail!

Yesterday I got my favorite type of package in the mail… fabric!! I bought a few things from Fresh-Squeezed Fabrics on Etsy. This is the first time I’ve purchased any fabric from an Etsy shop and it was a great experience.  There are so many beautiful fabrics in this shop, the customer service was great, and the shipping was super fast (which is good because I’m always so impatient to receive my fabric once I buy it!)  There aren’t any local quilt shops near me so I still like to support smaller businesses if I can, and in this case, Etsy makes it possible!

I ordered a fat quarter bundle of Color me Retro which I am going to be making into a baby quilt for a good friend who is leaving the gender a surprise.  I think it’s gender-neutral enough without being the traditional pastel green and yellow that seems to be the only colors the expectant parents receive when they don’t know if it is a boy or girl yet.

I also purchased an 8-piece fat quarter set of a random variety of designers for some stash building.  My only request was no pink and she put together a beautiful bundle for me.

The last thing I ordered was a mini charm set of Happy  Go Lucky By Bonnie and Camille for Moda.  These are adorable teensy charm squares that I have no idea what I’m going to do with but I love them nonetheless! I’ll probably just pull them out and stare at them from time to time.  But seriously, I’m sure I’ll find something to do with these cute little squares!
